Hello world!

2 09 2009

First off I’d like to thank everyone that’s been in touch with me regarding bringing the shell back to life, it makes me happy to know that former members, old friends, and people I don’t even know were so affected by it.

Obviously, Infusion is no longer active. Bor and I bought a house in the spring of this year that was in dire need of fixing up and no longer had the time to run the shell. We are now both informally retired from FFXI and most members of Infusion have scattered across other servers. I left the website and forums alive so that everyone can keep in touch and check in from time to time. We plan to become semi-active in game again come winter of this year.

Now, for those who have asked, it is highly unlikely (granted that doesn’t mean impossible) that we will return to lead the shell in FFXI. However, there’s a very distinct possibility given the interest in the shell that we have garnered since it shut down, that we will re-start it under the same name in FFXIV, be it guild, linkshell, whatever. We will plan to maintain a group of 20 or so members once more, less if possible since we don’t exactly know game mechanics yet.

I have disabled public posting on our forums to avoid any spam, but if you would like to get in touch with me, feel free to register on the forums and send me a PM. I check in every few days. Otherwise stay tuned in the future for periodic updates as to what’s going on with the shell.

Again, thanks for your continued support, it means a lot to us.

Are monthly updates the way to go? I dunno, ask my boss why he kept me at work til 10:30 for 7 days + a weekend.

I have no idea who got what out of most of this, but suffice to say, congrats to everyone on their lewts.

Things we’ve done:

+ 1000 other pictures that I wasn’t there for or someone else forgot to take, and like 30 Ouryus because we WUV HIM SO MUCH.

On top of normal recruitment, we are also opening our Einherjar recruitment to include a few skilled outside players. Please send a tell to Bor, Mahira, Imperial, or Kaelik in game if you wish to join Einherjar only, or head to the forums to fill out an app if you wish to join the shell.

Bad me, not keeping up with the updates, lest anyone think that we aren’t doing anything. I assure you, we are keeping ourselves busy.

Dynamis - Beaucedine, congratulations to Valis and Civilie on Commodore’s Frac, Bor on Melee Cyclas, Kltani on Valor Breeches, Moghouse on Warrior’s Cuisses, and Simmy on Etoile Tights. Oh, and since he reminded me, congrats to Bergi on the Duelist’s Tabard that each and every one of us was positive he already had:

Bahamut V.2, congratulations to Escher and Valis on Bahamut’s Mask, and to another one of our bards on a Manteel. Also congrats to Bergi on completely destroying all of us on the parse.

Sarameya, congratulations to Kltani on Oracle’s Robe and Cerberus Hide, too bad the Hachiryu Haidate decided not to show their faces, but it was a fun fight regardless.

Omega, congratulations to Ramzzy and Takida on Homam Cosciales… on the same run… Also congratulations to Valis, for being put in a sticky situation and making the best of it haha. But hey, we don’t see this often:

Ouryu… congratulations to our sellers on their 500K + Lewts:

Salvage, congratulations to Jennsen on Macha’s Cuffs, we’re on a roll:

And last but not least, congratulations to the 16 of us that were around for the ToAU Troll King fight, we’re gonna call it epic and just leave it at that I think. With that one down we only have one left before our Mythic-Seekers are done with that part of their quest:

‘Til next time, hopefully I can find the time to update this a little more frequently this week!
